Dear Friends,
If you are meeting Master Wu for the first time, you will be greeted by an open and friendly person with a warm and ready smile. He is comfortable with himself, and puts everyone else immediately at ease with his natural warmth. He has adapted so well to his new home in this country you might think he grew up here until you hear his distinct Chinese accent. Still, he is readily understood even with his interesting word and sentence arrangements.
After you have spent some time with Master Wu, you begin to realize that you are actually not in the presence of an ordinary person. As he shares and teaches, you begin to see a depth of knowledge that is uncommon even in the qi communities he associates with. If you spend enough time with him, you will come to realize he is a rare and true man wisdom. You see that his natural way with people, with changing environments and in diverse circumstances comes from his being in deep internal harmony with the Way known as ÒTao.Ó
Master WuÕs teachings are great and a lot of fun. I took his National Qigong Training program with a wonderful group of fellow travelers. In the four years we spent in the semi-annual retreats, he helped us discover and explore many facets of qigong and we gained a well rounded repertoire of forms and practices. Still, what was most extraordinary was spending time with Master Wu himself. When we were with him we entered a field of energy and experience that elevated us all. We began each session with a series of exercises that shook the tension out of every fiber of our body and being, and then he would take us expertly through learning and practicing our qigong. We learned forms like the ÒFire DragonÓ that stimulated our bodyÕs energy fields, called Òmeridians.Ó He took us into rituals like the ÒBig DipperÓ that sent our spirits soaring in the rare light and feel of the full moon sky. With Master WuÕs capable guidance we felt we were all transported to an ancient time when men of true character still walked in the mountains of China. We realized we were walking in the footsteps of a true living Master.
If you have the chance to take a workshop with Master Wu, donÕt pass up the opportunity to learn and especially to get to know him. Better yet, join one of his ÒLife-LongÓ training groups. You will come to know him as a true Master, and have for your own benefit a lifetime of growing and deepening in qi and spirit.
May All Beings Be Well and Happy,
